Socketing System

Production Master

The Socketing System allows users to add socket effects to power up Equipment and Weapons using special items created from the various Professions in Dragon Saga.

See Professions to learn how to create Socket Hammer's, Socket Removal Scroll's, and Socket Recovery Powder or purchase from the Market or a Friend.

To access the Socket System go to Production Master Midas in Port of Winds Center and select Create Socket.

Socket Creation: Create a socket on a weapon or equipment using a Socket Hammer.(Cash items cannot be used.) After a socket has been created using a Socket Hammer, a Socket Card can be applied for additional bonuses on the Equipment or Weapon.

Socket Card Use: Apply a socket card to a Weapon or Equipment to increase Defense, Attack, Aim Rate, Evade Rate, Constitution, Magic or add Elemental attributes.

Socket Restore: Restore the socket by removing the applied option. A Socket Option Removing Scroll is used to remove a socket option. "Removes a previously applied socket card, card will disappear"

Socket Recovery: Restore the broken socket so that socket cards can be added. A Broken Socket Recovery Powder will bring the socket to its original status after the socket creation has failed. If the socket creation fails, the next socket cannot be created.

Create Socket

Production Master

Place the equipment which has a Soul Grade of [Advanced] or higher in the central slot. The required level of Socket Hammer will be displayed.

You can create a Socket Hammer using Professions or purchase one from Friends or from the Market.

A Socket Hammer is not required to create a socket, however there is a chance it will fail. Failed socket creations will result in a Broken Socket which requires a Broken Socket Recovery Powder to restore.

Once you have the correct Socket Hammer and enough Soul & Gold click the plus icon next to each required item and click the [OK(F1)] button to create a socket on the Weapon or Equipment. Once complete you will see the socket in the item’s description.

Note: Up to 2 sockets can be created.

To create a socket, the following materials are required:

Socket Cards

Sockets cards range from grade 2-7 and can have a star rating from 1-10. Socket Cards with a star rating of 10 are rare.

Socket Card Use

For a comprehensive list of available Socket Cards, see Socket Card Reference.

Socket Card Use

Socket Cards can be created using Professions or purchased from Friends or the Market.

To use a socket card verify the equip slot and socket position of the card matches the available sockets on the Weapon or Equipment.

Note: Cards with socket position "1th socket" can only be used on the 1st socket slot.

Next right click the socket card to access the Socket Card Use screen. Select the Weapon or Equipment to apply the socket card to and click the [OK(F1)] button then [Confirm(F1)]to apply the socket card. The card insert success rate is 70%. If the socket application fails there is a chance the socket card will disappear.

Optional: Add Enchant Insurance Scroll to increase card insert success rate and protect the card from disappearing. A Enchant Insurance Scroll is not required to apply a socket card, however there is a chance it will fail. By using Enchant Insurance Scroll, the card will not be destroyed.

Enchant Insurance Scrolls can be purchased in the Item Mall.

Socket Restore

Socket Restore

Go to Production Master Midas in Port of Winds Center and select Create Socket and then Socket Restore.

Place the Equipment or Weapon you wish to remove a socket bonus from into the equipment slot, and add a Socket Option Removing Scroll, these can be created using the Production System or purchased from Friends or the Market.

A Socket Removal Scroll removes a previously applied socket card. This will simply remove the Socket Card "the socket card disappears", the Socket itself will remain.

Once all of the required ingredients have been added and you have enough Souls and Gold click [OK(F1)] and your selected socket will be emptied. The socket card will be destroyed.

A Socket Card Extractor allows safe extraction of a Socket Card from Equipment. See Socket Extract
